To support the sales division with the onboarding of new sales consultants by ensuring that adequate and relevant training is provided hereby equipping sales consultants with the necessary technical and funcitonal knowledge to fulfill their function within the company.



• Induct new sales consultants and develop a learning roadmap as part of their onboarding.

• Preparing and conducting technical training programs on systems, processes, and services.

• I.E Client files, preparing of applications, policy rules, valuation rules, marketing etc.

• Assess additional training needs which may be required by sales consultants.

• Conduct presentations and webinars with new and existing sales consultants.

• Plan and direct classroom training, electronic learning, and the relevant systems training.

• Evaluate training by evaluating effectiveness of the training to specific needs of the division to maintain good standards.

• Support new consultants with the practical 'how to guide' when meeting with clients, and service providers. B. Coaching & Mentoring:

• Support line managers with re-upskilling/ refresher training of existing sales consultants (and/ or Branch admin support staff).

• Ongoing coaching on presentation skills.

• Sharing all changes to systems, processes, and services as and when necessary.

• Providing feedback/ findings/ observations from evaluations and or training sessions.

• Assist in the development and maintaining of the sales 'toolbox’.


Refresher training:

• Prepare and present training on topics sales are struggling with.

• Plan and execute refresher sessions.



• Analyse and report on feedback from consultant evaluations/ feedback and share with line managers.

• Support in measuring of implementation and improvements of new or existing initiatives.

• Consolidate all training needs and share with Learning & Development team.

• Provide progress reports to line managers on new and existing sales consultants.

Education Profile

• Matric qualification

• Bachelor’s degree or courses and/ or certifications in communication, education, Train the trainer or facilitation skills or relevant field



• 3-5 years’ experience as a Senior or Executive sales consultant

• Comprehensive understanding of SAHL products, services, and offerings

• Holding classroom training sessions • Proven knowledge in coaching & mentoring abilities

• Ability to report on and analyse data related to learning & development

• Technical systems knowledge

• Proficient in MS office suite
