Introduction

Our client, a leading retail brand, is seeking a Stock Auditor to join their team in Johannesburg. The Stock Auditor plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy of stock levels across our fashion retail stores. This position focuses on conducting regular and accurate stock counts, identifying areas of stock loss, and implementing measures to reduce shrinkage.

Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor weekly hanger counts and take immediate action to address areas with increased stock losses.
  • Conduct regular and accurate stock takes in stores to ensure proper stock levels and system accuracy.
  • Investigate and identify stock loss discrepancies, ensuring appropriate actions are taken.
  • Ensure that all stock take activities are completed efficiently and accurately, with minimal disruption to store operations.
  • Maintain and manage stock take equipment, ensuring it is in good working condition.
  • Work closely with store managers and staff to educate and implement stock control measures to reduce risk of loss.
  • Investigate stock loss causes and report findings to management, recommending solutions to reduce losses.
  • Ensure all stock discrepancies are documented, followed up on, and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Assist in the development of stock loss prevention strategies and policies.

Education Profile

  • Matric Certificate (Grade 12)
  • Drivers Licence essential.
  • Previous experience in stock control and stock taking within a retail environment, preferably in fashion.
  • Proven experience in retail auditing or similar roles.
  • Understanding of inventory management systems and processes.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address stock-related issues.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Strong sense of integrity and trustworthiness in handling sensitive information.
  • Responsible and proactive in taking ownership of stock-related issues and improving processes.
