Introduction
A leading fashion retailer is seeking an experienced Store Manager for their location at Nyanga Junction, Cape Town. This role is ideal for someone passionate about fashion and experienced in retail management, ready to drive sales, lead a team, and ensure a seamless and exceptional customer experience.
Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily store operations, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Manage store budgets, including sales targets, expenses, and overall profitability.
- Ensure store policies and health and safety guidelines are followed.
- Drive sales to meet or exceed store targets through effective management strategies.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement actions to boost store performance.
- Use sales data and market insights to optimize stock levels and merchandising decisions.
- Recruit, train, and mentor store staff, fostering a positive and productive environment.
- Provide regular coaching to ensure staff deliver high-quality service and meet performance expectations.
- Oversee staff scheduling to ensure optimal store coverage.
- Ensure outstanding customer service is delivered consistently, building strong relationships with customers.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues efficiently to ensure satisfaction.
- Stay current with fashion trends to offer expert advice and style suggestions.
- Maintain store aesthetics, ensuring visual displays are attractive and reflect brand guidelines.
- Implement seasonal and promotional displays to enhance customer engagement and drive sales.
- Manage and monitor stock levels, conducting regular inventory checks and ensuring accurate records.
- Work with the buying and merchandising teams to ensure the right product assortment is available.
- Minimize stock losses through effective inventory control and shrinkage management.
- Handle administrative tasks such as payroll, reporting, and staff scheduling.
- Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements related to store operations.
Education Profile
- Matric (Grade 12)
- 2-3 years of retail management experience, preferably in the fashion industry.
- Proven ability to achieve sales targets and manage store operations.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Experience in staff management and training.
- Knowledge of fashion trends and customer preferences.
