Introduction

We’re looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Merchandise Allocator to join our dynamic retail team. The successful candidate will ensure the right stock is in the right place at the right time to maximize sales and minimize markdowns.

Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Allocate stock to stores in line with sales trends and store capacity.

• Analyse sales data to optimize inventory levels.

• Monitor store performance and suggest reallocation or replenishment strategies.

• Support the merchandise planning team with accurate reporting.

• Liaise with buyers, planners, and stores to manage stock flow.

• Assist with planning seasonal allocations and promotional stock.

• Identify slow-moving stock and propose solutions.

• Maintain allocation systems and ensure data integrity.

Education Profile

Requirements:

• Matric (Grade 12) minimum; relevant tertiary qualification in Retail, Merchandising, or Supply Chain an advantage.

• 1-3 years’ experience in allocation, planning, or merchandise administration.

• Strong analytical and numerical skills.

• Proficiency in MS Excel and allocation systems.

• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

• Retail or fashion industry experience
