We’re looking for an analytical, detail-driven Junior Planner to join our planning team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about retail planning, forecasting, and merchandise strategy who wants to develop a career in a dynamic environment.

Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in building sales, stock, and margin plans to achieve targets.

• Analyse sales trends and stock levels to inform buying and allocation decisions.

• Prepare regular sales and inventory reports for senior planners and buyers.

• Monitor replenishment and propose actions to maximize stock availability.

• Support seasonal planning processes and range builds.

• Collaborate closely with buyers, allocators, and merchandise managers.

• Identify risks and opportunities within the department and propose solutions.

• Maintain planning systems and ensure data accuracy.

Education Profile

Requirements:

• Matric (Grade 12) minimum; relevant tertiary qualification (Retail, Business, Commerce, Supply Chain) an advantage.

• 1-2 years’ experience in retail planning, allocation, or merchandise analysis preferred (graduates with strong analytical skills will also be considered).

• Strong numerical and analytical skills.

• Advanced MS Excel skills essential.

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

• Passion for retail and understanding of retail KPIs.
