A growing fashion retailer based in Umgeni Road, Durban is seeking a Financial Accountant to join their dynamic and fast-paced team.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage monthly reconciliations (bank, balance sheet, and general ledger)

• Review and oversee timesheets and payroll processing

• Supervise and support the Bookkeeper, ensuring accurate and timeous processing

• Assist with month-end reporting and financial controls

• Ensure compliance with internal processes and financial procedures

• Handle ad hoc financial tasks and reporting as required

Education Profile

Requirements:

• Relevant Degree in Accounting / Finance
• Proven experience in a Financial Accountant role (preferably within retail or a similar environment)
• Strong Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, formulas)
• Solid understanding of reconciliations and financial processes
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written English)
• Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment

Working Hours:

• Monday to Thursday: 08:00 - 16:30
• Friday: 08:00 - 16:00
• Saturday: 08:00 - 14:00

Package:

• Salary: R25,000 - R30,000 per month
• Provident Fund (included in CTC after 1 year of permanent employment)
