Introduction

A South African company is seeking a dynamic and experienced UK Education Recruitment Consultant to join its Ballito team and drive the growth of its UK education recruitment division.

This is an exciting full-cycle recruitment and business development opportunity for a commercially driven individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for building relationships with UK schools and education organisations, developing new business opportunities, sourcing high-quality teaching professionals, and managing the complete recruitment journey from initial engagement through to successful placement.

The role requires a strong combination of recruitment expertise, sales ability, relationship management, and a genuine interest in international education recruitment. This is an opportunity to take ownership of a growing recruitment desk and make a significant impact in expanding the company’s UK market presence

Description

  • Identify, engage and develop relationships with schools, academy trusts and education organisations across the United Kingdom.
  • Generate new business opportunities and secure recruitment vacancies from prospective clients.
  • Build, maintain and manage a strong pipeline of qualified teaching candidates.
  • Source candidates through job boards, LinkedIn, social media platforms, referrals and proactive headhunting.
  • Conduct candidate screening and interviews to assess qualifications, experience, suitability and motivation.
  • Match suitable teachers with appropriate UK teaching opportunities.
  • Manage the recruitment process, including interviews, offers, placements and relocation support.
  • Assist candidates with documentation, compliance requirements and onboarding procedures.
  • Maintain consistent communication with clients and candidates throughout the recruitment journey.
  • Achieve agreed business development, placement and revenue targets.
  • Build long-term relationships that encourage repeat business and ongoing partnerships.

Education Profile

  • Previous experience in recruitment, business development, sales or a related client-facing role.
  • Education recruitment experience would be highly advantageous.
  • A strong interest in international recruitment and the UK education sector.
  • Proven confidence in cold calling, client acquisition and developing new accounts.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong candidate sourcing and headhunting capabilities.
  • Target-driven, proactive and commercially focused approach.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple vacancies and candidates simultaneously.
  • Comfortable engaging with UK-based clients and working according to UK business requirements when needed.
  • Must be able to work from the Ballito office.
