Introduction

A well-renowned freight and logistics company is seeking an experienced, commercially driven Regional Manager to lead and grow its Western Cape operations.

The successful candidate will provide strategic and operational leadership across Airfreight, Seafreight, Contract Logistics, Sales and Customer Service, ensuring regional profitability, operational efficiency, business development and exceptional client service.

Description

• Grade 12 certificate.

• FIATA Diploma or a relevant 3-year qualification in Freight Forwarding, Supply Chain Management, Logistics or Sales & Marketing at NQF Level 7 (or equivalent).

• Minimum 10 years’ experience in the freight forwarding, logistics or supply chain industry.

• At least 5 years’ experience in senior or regional management.

• Strong knowledge of airfreight, seafreight, contract logistics and customer service operations.

• Proven experience in strategic planning, business development, sales management and client relationship management.

• Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, P&L analysis and cost control.

• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.

• Strong understanding of international trade, Incoterms, CRM systems and industry compliance requirements.

• Develop and implement regional business strategies to drive growth and profitability.

• Oversee branch operations, resources, staffing and performance across the region.

• Manage regional budgets, financial performance, gross profit and operating costs.

• Drive sales targets, identify new business opportunities and expand the client base.

• Build and maintain strong client relationships while improving customer retention and service delivery.

• Oversee contract logistics and warehouse operations, ensuring compliance and operational efficiency.

• Monitor KPIs, prepare performance reports and ensure adherence to company policies, quality standards and ISO requirements.
